Meet the Team

Jessica Ireland | Director LEISURE (Brisbane)

Jessica is an extremely passionate, hard-working sales professional who started her career in 2000 working on some of Queensland’s most iconic islands before moving into Sales and Marketing with Voyages Hotels and Resorts. Jessica worked in London for 3 years while working closely with Australian & Asian products in a commercial management role. Followed by the role of Leisure Sales Manager with one of Queensland’s well known Island resorts.

Over the years Jessica has built strong relationships with Tourist Boards, Wholesalers, Inbound Tour Operators and Online Tour Operators as well as other Industry professionals and takes enormous amount of pride in these relationships. Jessica prides herself on being passionate, hard working and strives for the best outcome for both parties.

 

Jessica’s Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage relationships with key trade partners and tourism bodies
  • Conduct sales calls and agent training
  • Implement marketing programs with trade partners
  • Consultancy, workshops and training
  • Attend trade events
  • Complete monthly reports

Karen Maher | Director MICE & Groups (Gold Coast)

Karen is an experienced sales professional, with strong negotiation skills, who has been successful in managing client relationships, in either an account management or new business development capacity, within the tourism industry for over 30 years. Karen has experience in both the leisure and mice markets however her passion for events has seen her focus on this market in the last 20 years.

The diversity of the various sales roles she has represented over the past years both within Australia and overseas, has resulted in an opportunity to develop strong relationships across a wide variety of corporate industries and with key PCO in the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne markets. Her reputation within the industry and trade is highly regarded and she has increased brand awareness and sales considerably in the MICE area for all products she has worked for.

 

Karen’s Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage relationships with key PCO and corporate companies
  • Conduct sales calls and presentations
  • Source lead generation
  • Issue proposals
  • Attend trade and network events
  • Organise trade familiarisation
  • Consultancy, workshops and training
  • Complete monthly reports
